  2.     ORG (c) - The only Disk Organizer Utility to truly deserve the name
  3.     -------------------------------------------------------------------

  5.     This package contains the shareware copy of ORG version 2.50, a 
  6.     super-fast Disk Organizer Utility with many additional features 
  7.     including "on-the-fly" file sort and delete functions.
  8.  
  9.     ORG does not require any special installation procedure to run.
  10.     Simply copy the files ORG.EXE and ORG.CFG to a directory on your
  11.     hard disk and, at the DOS prompt type:

  13.             ORG [d:] [/SIM]  <Enter>
  14.  
  15.     where d: is any valid drive letter on your computer, except a RAM
  16.     or Network drive.  The /SIM option simulates the ORGanization 
  17.     process WITHOUT actually writing to the disk.  
  18.  
  19.     Every effort has been made to ensure that the program will work
  20.     as described with all MS-DOS machines and that it is free of errors.
  21.     First time users are encouraged to use ORG's /SIMulation option to
  22.     assure compatibility with other software (disk cache or other
  23.     similar resident programs).  Refer to chapter 2 (Getting Started)
  24.     in the documentation for detailed instructions on how to use ORG.

  26.     ORG is copyrighted software. You may however make as many copies as
  27.     you like of this shareware version and distribute them to others,
  28.     provided that you do not alter the contents of the package in any
  29.     way. If you like ORG and use it regularly, you must register your
  30.     copy. Instructions for registering ORG are contained in the file
  31.     ORGREG.TXT which is included with this package.

  33.     When you register, you will receive the latest release of ORG.  Also,
  34.     you will receive upgrades and enhancements free, for a period of one
  35.     year from registration.

  49.     ORG Notes:
  50.     ORG25.DOC and BRAND.DOC are a ASCII files formatted to be printed out
  51.     on any "dumb" printer. The only control characters they contain are
  52.     page breaks, making it easy to display on the screen with virtually
  53.     any editor or word processor.

  55.     The current version of ORG supports EMS LIM 4 Expanded memory
  56.     and Microsoft XMS Extended memory.  To use Extended memory with ORG,
  57.     you must use an XMS driver such as HIMEM.SYS (supplied with Windows
  58.     3.0 and other Microsoft products), 386MAX, QEMM, or similar memory
  59.     management software.

  61.     At the request of numerous users, I have added the /SIM option which
  62.     prevents ORG from actually writing to the drive.  This mode can be
  63.     very useful to check for conflicts when running ORG on an unknown
  64.     system.

  66.     ORG will now detect when it is run from a Windows or DesqView "DOS
  67.     box" and refuse to run.
  68.    
  69.     ORG 2.50 includes the /T option, a new unique feature:
  70.     /T causes ORG to sort all files on the drive in ascending order by
  71.     date/time stamp.  This effectively places the newest files LAST on
  72.     the drive.  Most of our daily work only involves a small number of
  73.     files which we use over and over again.  Thus, placing these files
  74.     at the end of the unfragmented area of the drive not only makes
  75.     subsequent defragmentation faster, it acts proactively to prevent
  76.     fragmentation!  To minimize ORGanization time, the /T option will
  77.     not move a file that is already contiguous, even if its date and
  78.     time have changed.  To obtain the best results with the /T option,
  79.     first re-order all your files on the drive specifying BOTH the /T
  80.     and the /F option.  Subsequent runs with the /T option alone will
  81.     only defrag any files that have become unfragmented.
